Greek Bread Dipping Blend

A flavorful blend of citrusy lemon, bell peppers, spicy cayenne and herbs.

For Bread Dip: Mix 1 tablespoon of the Greek Bread Dipping Blend with ¼ cup of your favorite oil. Add 1 tablespoon of freshly grated parmesan cheese. Serve with fresh slices of warm crusty bread or rolls.

Salad dressing: Use 2/3 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon of Dijon Mustard, and 1 tablespoon of Greek Dipping Blend.  Whisk together.  For best result let sit one hour before use. 

Other uses: Toss the bread dip with olives, tomatoes, feta cheese and cucumbers for a delicious Greek Salad. Rub on fish or chicken before grilling or roasting.  

Ingredients: Unrefined sea salt, lemon peel, garlic, oregano, red bell pepper, red wine vinegar powder, marjoram, cayenne, crushed red pepper and parsley.

 

Greek Marinade for Chicken
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken tenders
2/3 cup of olive oil
¼ cup red wine vinegar
½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Greek Bread Dipping Blend

In a small bowl whisk together oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard and Greek bread Dipping Blend and then pour into a zip top bag. Place chicken in to the bag and marinate in the fridge for up to 8 hours. Remove chicken from the bag and grill on each side until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.


Greek Salad
3 cucumbers seeded and diced
1 ½ cups feta cheese crumbled
1 cup Kalamata olives pitted and sliced
3 cups Roma tomatoes diced
1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil, drained( reserve liquid)
1 cup roasted red peppers julienned
1 ½ cups red onion diced

Greek Dressing
2/3 cup oil
2 tablespoons reserved oil from the sun-dried tomatoes
¼ cup red wine vinegar
½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Greek Bread Dipping Blend

In a large bowl toss together the cucumbers, feta cheese, olives, tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes and red onion. In a small bowl combine all of the salad dressing ingredients and whisk thoroughly to combined. Pour dressing over salad mixture and stir to combine. Refrigerate until ready to serve. You can add chicken to turn it into a meal or add 4 oz. cooked Ziti and turn it into a pasta salad.

Turkey Burger with Greek Seasoning
1 lb. ground turkey
1 tbsp. Greek Bread Dipping Blend
1 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 tsp. dijon mustard
1/2 tsp. red wine vinegar
1/4-1/2 cup crumbled Feta

Place Greek Bread Dipping Blend, olive oil, dijon mustard and red wine vinegar in a small bowl and mix into a thin paste. Mix the Greek seasoning paste and crumbled Feta into the ground turkey until evenly distributed. Form into burgers or meatballs and cook using your desired method.
